Cambourne – On the Buses
Unfortunately, Liberal Democrat Councillors are spreading some false rumours. They say I campaigned to stop the 905 bus connecting Cambourne and St Neots. This is categorically untrue. Let me set the record straight.
Stephen is a independent councillor for Cambridgeshire County Council, served two years as it’s chair, a councillor for Huntingdonshire District Council and has served as a town councillor for St Neots, where he was mayor for two years.

It’s National Carers Week, in which we celebrate the selfless contribution of carers. But the harsh truth is that underpaid carers are the ones propping up a broken social care system. And in General Election season, none of the political parties has a plan to fix it.
In an amazing video gaffe Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate, who has been widely criticised as a “parachute candidate”, claimed that “St Neots residents are disappointed with their Lib Dem Council”.
My reflections on a fun day canvassing in Cambourne.
20,000 steps today canvassing Northstowe and Longstanton, about 8.5 miles of leafletting, door knocking and chatting. Lots of genuine support from people that want a change from party political bickering.
I am very grateful to receive this wonderful endorsement from my friend Simon Harries, who was, until May, a Liberal Democrat Councillor in East Cambs:
In order to be accepted as a Parliamentary Candidate, you need to get at least 10 signatures from voters in the constituency. I got 16. Three of those are recent Mayors of St Neots, Cllr Ben Pitt, Cllr Rob Simonis, and current Mayor Cllr Richard Slade.
I successfully submitted my papers
Even if I risk splitting the opposition vote, I can chose to vote for something and someone I really believe in.
Since I launched Pocket parkrun in 2018, 8000 runners, joggers & walkers have completed 41000 5k parkruns between them. Enabled by 780 wonderful volunteers.
