Elected as Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council

On February 8th I was elected as the Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council. This is a huge honour, especially for such someone in his first year as a County Councillor. In this role I am expected to Chair Full Council meetings in a fair and impartial manner, to uphold the constitution of the Council, and to represent the Council at civic (and other community) events.

I am very grateful to the Leader of the Council, Cllr Lucy Nethsingha, for nominating me, and to my fellow councillors for electing me.
