St Neots and Mid Cambs Mao

I’ve already represented 40% of the new Constituency

Candidates from political parties would like you to believe that Independents can’t win. However, this narrative conveniently ignores the fact that I have already been elected to serve 40% of the people in the new constituency. Other than the Conservative candidate, none of the others have been elected here at all.

Of the candidates for St Neots and Mid Cambs only Ferguson and Browne have ever been elected to serve residents in the new constituency

In the past 4 years I have served twice as the Mayor of St Neots, I’ve served for three years as the Cambridgeshire County Councillor for St Neots East and Gransden and for two years as a Cabinet Member at Huntingdonshire District Council.

That means that about 30k people in the 75k person constituency have already experienced my honest, open and accountable style of politics, which is based on principles rather than tribalistic party politics.

It’s also worth noting that I have twice been elected Chair of the County Council, and during that time, I looked out for all of you, as a passionate, sometimes outspoken, but always fair, civic leader for the whole of Cambridgeshire.

Having completely revolutionised political engagement in the West of the new St Neots & Mid Cambs constituency, I would be honoured to represent the 60% of people in the East, that were previously represented by Anthony Browne, as part of the old South Cambs constituency.

After years of democratic neglect from our parliamentarians, let’s start the new constituency by electing an experienced candidate with a track record for standing up for residents in St Neots and Mid Cambs.

Vote for me, and let’s make July 4th Independent’s Day in St Neots and Mid Cambs.
